KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. The Counterpoint research institute released its latest report on the ten best-selling smartphones of 2021.
In that list, Redmi 9A is Xiaomi’s best-selling mobile phone throughout 2021, which occupies the seventh position as the best-selling phone in the world, accompanied by Redmi 9 which occupies the tenth position.
In terms of sales, the Redmi 9A itself accounted for 1.9 percent of total global smartphone sales in 2021, while the Redmi 9 contributed 1.1 percent.
From Xiaomi’s side, Counterpoint claims that the two phones will contribute to 22 percent of the company’s total cell phone sales throughout 2021.

The success of the Redmi 9A and Redmi 9, according to Counterpoint, was driven by Xiaomi’s successful strategy of deploying low-cost phones in a number of their core markets such as China, India, and a number of countries in Asia Pacific.
Back again to the list of best-selling mobile phones throughout the 2021 version of Counterpoint, apart from Xiaomi, mobile phones made by Apple and Samsung are also included in the list, as can be seen in the following graphic image.
