Three corona infections were reported on Friday afternoon in Leiden.

The GGD Hollands Midden reports a possible new corona infection to a 32-year-old Oegstgeester. A first test has shown the virus. A second test has yet to confirm this. Given the strong suspicion of infection, the GGD has already started mapping the contacts of the man. The Oegst spirit has recently been to northern Italy and is now in home oil.
On Friday afternoon, Leiden University reports a corona infection to an employee of the Faculty of Social Sciences. Further details about the person were not disclosed. “The colleague is in home quarantine and has not been to the university long before the symptoms occurred,” the university states on its website. “Things are going well according to circumstances. The housemates of this employee also went into home quarantine on the advice of the GGD. “

At the Alrijne Hospital, with locations in Alphen, Leiderdorp and Leiden, an employee is also infected. There can be no question of possible infection of hospital patients and staff: “This staff member came back sick from vacation and has not been in the hospital since then,” the hospital reports. The employee is in home insulation.
The GGD does not want to explain the reports from the university and the hospital. “We assume a single infection in our region,” says a spokesperson. “And in doing so, we pay attention to the patient’s place of residence.”
