There are three new positive cases to report, three tourists belonging to a group coming from Switzerland, in which one of the elements tested positive on arrival, in the last week. These three tourists have remained in isolation and under surveillance by the health authorities since their arrival in the Region, having confirmed today the positive result for covid-19. There is still a report of a recovered case, namely, an imported case that remained in isolation in a dedicated hotel unit.
This Sunday, seven more situations that are being studied by health authorities were also identified. These are seven travelers identified in the context of surveillance activities implemented at the Covid-19 Screening Unit at Madeira Airport. IASaúde informs that epidemiological investigations and laboratory analyzes are ongoing.

In total, the Region has so far recorded 111 confirmed cases of covid-19, of which 98 are recovered cases and 13 are active cases. These 13 active cases consist of 10 imported cases identified in the context of the surveillance activities implemented at the Madeira Airport Screening Unit and three are locally transmitted. There are eight people who are isolated in a dedicated hotel unit, and the rest are in isolation in a temporary home.
14,880 people are being followed
To date, 14,880 people are being monitored by the health authorities of the various counties using the Madeira Safe To Discover application, 6,467 of whom are under active surveillance.
As for the lines created, the contacts for the SRS24 total 10,424 calls, plus 62 calls in the last 24 hours. The total number of visits by IASaúde’s psychological support line is now 1,811, with 160 people accompanied by the professionals of this institute.
Regarding tests for screening covid-19 carried out in Madeira, IASaúde said that 45,654 samples were processed (until the end of yesterday), while in the context of the operation of screening travelers at the entrance to Madeira and Porto Santo airports. there is a cumulative total of 17,794 test harvests carried out on site (until 6 pm today).
