Ontario health officials confirmed on Saturday that three of their citizens had tested positive for COVID-19, the famous coronavirus.

Ontario public health officials said in the afternoon that two of the patients affected by COVID-19 had recently traveled to Iran, one of the main sources of the epidemic outside of China. The third patient is the husband of one of the two infected patients. These three people were placed in voluntary quarantine at home.

British Columbia’s health authorities confirmed an eighth case of coronavirus in the province’s population on Saturday, bringing the total to 20 cases in the country since the onset of the crisis.

Recall that Friday, analyzes from the National Microbiology Laboratory in Winnipeg, Manitoba, confirmed a first case of coronavirus in Quebec. This is a woman from the Montreal region who returned last Monday from Iran.

Iran is particularly affected by COVID-19, as is the country of origin of the virus, China, as well as Italy and South Korea.

Thursday night in Quebec, 21 people were under investigation for the virus that has killed nearly 3,000 people worldwide since the start of the year.
