The three new cases identified this Sunday in Madeira concern three tourists, part of a group from Switzerland, said the Institute of Health Administration (IASAÚDE).
According to the data provided in the epidemiological bulletin, tourists are part of a group coming from Switzerland, in which an element had already tested positive on arrival, in the last week. These three tourists have remained in isolation and under surveillance by the health authorities since their arrival in the Region, and today the positive result for covid-19 has been confirmed.
IASAÚDE also states that, today, seven more situations were identified that are being studied by health authorities. “These are seven travelers identified in the context of the surveillance activities implemented at the Covid-19 Screening Unit at Madeira Airport. Epidemiological investigations and laboratory analyzes are ongoing”, it can be read in the bulletin released this afternoon.
