Margot Cloet of Zorgnet-Icuro, the largest association of hospitals and residential care centers in Flanders, argues for a complete lockdown as in the spring. This means that all schools and all non-essential shops will be closed, with a ban on non-essential movements on top. “Our hospitals are crashing. If nothing happens, we can no longer continue to guarantee the care, ”says Cloet, who speaks on behalf of all Belgian hospitals.
