The May 8 bridge mourned by a drama. Around 10 p.m., during that night from Saturday to Sunday, a terrible accident occurred in the town of Mont-Dore. It took place at the level of the tribe of Saint-Louis, a few meters from the La Thy bus stop. Involving three vehicles, a BMW, a Nissan Xtrail and a Clio, it has, according to the gendarmerie, caused the death of three people, and we also deplore ten seriously injured, including one for whom the prognosis is vital. Still unclear circumstances
At the moment, little is known about the exact circumstances of this road drama.
One of the vehicles involved left the Saint-Louis nakamal and collided with a vehicle that was traveling on RP1. We don’t know who hit the other one, we don’t know the speed or the direction of traffic either, but the impact was undoubtedly violent. And even more so with the accident that occurred with the arrival of the Clio. Again we do not know the precise elements, speed, lane and direction of traffic.
The only road cut
The RP1, the provincial road that crosses the town, was cut at length by the gendarmes in both directions, between the Thabor in Saint-Michel and the Houriez housing estate in La Coulée. Time to let the emergency services intervene, and allow the vehicles to be removed. On the spot, numerous means were deployed, gendarmerie forces, SAMU, firefighters, in order to bring aid to the victims.

Almost four hours
While dozens of cars were waiting on one side or the other, traffic only started to resume around 1:45 a.m. Before this accident, on May 6, fifteen people had died on the roads of Caledonia. The macabre count would therefore drop to eighteen victims.
