Thousands of People Hold Prayers Together and Give Support to Trump

WASHINGTON DC, KOMPAS.com  – Thousands of people packed the National Mall in the city center Washington DC on Saturday (26/9/2020) to pray together and give support to the President United States of America (AS) Donald Trump.

The parade stretched from the Lincoln Memorial to the US Capitol and came hours before Trump announced a candidate for the US chief justice to replace the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who died of cancer.

Meanwhile, vice president Mike Pence spoke from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial building, delivering President Trump’s “greetings and thanks”.

Pence also called on the masses to pray for the new Supreme Court candidate, chosen by Trump, to benefit American Conservatives, Amy Coney Barrett.

The parade was organized by Reverend Franklin Graham, a prominent Conservative Evangelist and Trump supporter. While the rest, mostly Liberty University students in Virginia.

Following the march, Trump officially announced his choice to fill the vacant US Chief Justice position following the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

At the Rose Garden, White House, Trump finally officially announced that his choice, Amy Coney Barrett, was the most appropriate to fill the vacant position of US Chief Justice.

The election has the potential to destabilize the US top court with more support for conservatives for years to come.

Although Trump had respected the late Ginsburg by calling him a ‘Legend’, Barret was said by Trump as a legal expert who had strong “loyalty” to the Constitution.

“This (Barrett) is my third nomination after Judge (Neil) Gorsuch and Judge (Brett M) Kavanaugh, and this is a very proud moment,” Trump said at Rose Garden, the White House attended by more than 150 people.

“I have watched and studied and you are very qualified for this position. You are going to be fantastic,” Trump told Judge Barrett.

On that occasion, Trump also urged the Democrats to respect his choice.
