More than 5,000 demonstrators stage a protest against the mandatory Covid-19 vaccination program in Athens, Greece (14/7).
Demonstrators also called on Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis to resign.
The demonstrators felt that the government had no right to determine the rights of each individual.
About 41 percent of people in Greece have been fully vaccinated.
On Monday (12/7), the government ordered mandatory vaccinations for health workers and nursing home staff following a sharp increase in Covid-19 infections.
Greece, reported a total of 444,700 Covid-19 cases and 12,782 deaths.
Local authorities recorded nearly 3,000 new daily infections on Wednesday (14/7).
