The Tax and Customs Administration reports on its own website that ‘it is currently very busy on My Tax Authorities’. If you are unable to log in, you will be advised to file a tax return at a later date or to see if they can use the app for this.
The systems are designed for 100,000 people who want to file a tax return at the same time, but at peak times the number of people trying to do so is sometimes far above that, says a spokesperson for the tax authorities. Via Twitter, the service offers apologies for the inconvenience.
Thousands of complaints
The website allestoringen.nl has already received thousands of complaints. Including people who say that their data is not loaded.

For many people doing a tax return is an annoying job, but it can be quite worthwhile to take a good look at it.
An important tip to save money: if you have to make a declaration (you will receive a letter or message about this in your digital message box), do not be late.
