This way, your iPhone indicates whether someone is eavesdropping or spying on you

IOS 14 has a handy new function that allows you to see when your iPhone is using the microphone or camera. This way you can be sure that no one is abusing your privacy.

The new operating system of iPhone, iOS 14, was launched on Wednesday. In there lots of new fun features, including a very important privacy feature. When you now record something with your microphone, an orange dot will appear at the top right. This indicates that an app is using your microphone and that your voice is being recorded at that moment.

Authorize

If the orange light appears for no apparent reason, it is best to check in ‘Settings’ which apps are allowed to use the camera. You can then indicate which apps are not allowed. If the problem persists, it is best to contact Apple to see if the problem is no longer the case. At worst, someone will listen with you, so you want to avoid that at all costs.

Green light

If you are using your camera (including your microphone), a green dot will appear in the top right corner. You will not see the orange light separately. The green color indicates that an app is using both the camera and the microphone. Again, the green dot may not light up without valid reason because of possible abuse of your privacy.
