this time there are probably professionals working

A Diablo II remake finally doesn’t feel like a dream anymore. A great team should take care of the new version: there are new employees at Blizzard.

Blizzard’s last major remake attempt should be considered a catastrophic failure. Warcraft III: Reforged was extremely unpopular due to a lack of features, false promises, and numerous bugs upon launch.

It has been rumored for years that Diablo II will also have a remake. After Warcraft III crashed, conversations about the remake got quieter, because no Diablo fan wanted you to do “something like that” in your game.

Now there are new clues. The former Vicarious Visions team has become part of Blizzard and is supposed to be working on the Diablo II remake.

Where does the information come from? The original report is from GamesIndustry.biz. They reported that the 200 Vicarious Visions employees have fully merged with Blizzard. They are supposed to take care of certain Blizzard games “for a long time.”

Shortly after, Jason Schreier reported on it in Bloomberg. Schreier is known to have good internal contacts with the big game companies and has already revealed a lot at Blizzard.

Vicarious Visions is mainly known for some remakes of the last few years.

What kind of equipment is that? The Vicarious Visions team has been a part of Activision for a long time, but now it has integrated into Blizzard and deals with Blizzard titles entirely. Vicarious Visions was not known for its own titles in recent years, that is, more in the time of GameBoy Advance.

They are best known for their reviews of recent years, such as Tony Hawk’s remake of Pro Skater or the “Crash Bandicoot” trilogy. Both are great titles whose remake has been received with enthusiasm.

Diablo 2 titleA remake of Diablo 2 could finally appear.

When can you expect a remake? There is still no specific date. In any case, Blizzard will probably want to avoid the Warcraft III: Reforged incident and this time it will take more time and define more clearly what the Diablo II remake should be. By the way, the title should be called “Diablo II: Resurrected”, if you can trust the previous leaks.

However, please note that Blizzard has not yet officially confirmed this information. However, it can be assumed that there will be more information on this at the next BlizzConline.

Would you like a remake of Diablo II? Or do you want to finally play Diablo IV or Diablo Immortal?

Anyway, Blizzard is currently doing quite well: the value on the stock market is higher than ever.
