This SOE Director is Called Erick About the 7 Months Salary Arrears

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) summoned the management of PT Industri Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Persero) / INTI. This meeting is related to the company’s steps not to pay the salaries of all its employees since February this year.

A CNBC Indonesia source revealed that this was decided after a virtual meeting between company directors and the ministry team this afternoon.

“Earlier, the BOD (board of director) meeting with the Wamen team was completed [Wakil Menteri] and the plan is for directors to be summoned by the Ministry of BUMN, “he told CNBC Indonesia, Tuesday (9/8/2020).

He revealed that currently the company employees who have not been paid for seven consecutive months prefer to work from home. Not because it is in order to follow the Covid-19 protocol, but because there is no adequate logistics if the company goes to work.

Not to mention, since the beginning of this year the company has also experienced depreciation of its projects. Even from the company’s work plan and budget (RKAP) prepared last year, it is estimated that only 20% of the project has been able to be achieved.

“Whereas we used to be Telkom’s workshops, then separated into separate entities, then developed. That was the goal. We produced public telephones, home phones, how big we were. In the past, the number of employees was still 3,000, now only 340-350 employees. Not even retirees. paid the allowance because there is no cash money, “he said.

Previously it was reported that the company had stopped paying employee salaries since February 2020. According to management’s explanation to employees, this occurs because the company experiences a business loss which causes negative cash flow.

Chairman of the INTI Workers Union, Ridwan Al Faruq, said that every month all employees experience uncertainty because the notification of not paying salaries is delivered at the end of each month ahead of the pay day. During that time these employees also continue to work full time as usual.

“That until now the company has not fulfilled the rights of PT INTI employees, starting from February 2020,” Ridwan told CNBC Indonesia, Monday (7/9/2020).

He revealed that the last salary payment occurred in February, but employees were only paid Rp. 1 million. In the following months the company only received notifications from the company.

“Regarding the Rp. 1 million, it is the maximum effort of management by means of funds here and there,” he said.

Ridwan revealed that currently employees need attention from the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) to find a way out of the problem. However, until now there has been no ministerial attention regarding this matter.
