This is where singer Dana Winner prefers to stay: “On that terrace you imagine yourself in Tuscany in Limburg” | Nina

Singer Dina Winner (57) recently released the new single ‘Miss You Most’ and will be in the Sportpaleis this fall. This summer she is heading to the Spanish sun. Or towards that one address that feels like Tuscany in Limburg, as she so beautifully calls it. “The view is phenomenal.” The singer also reveals which restaurant in Hasselt has stolen her heart and where she likes to paddle.

“My husband Marc and I are back from a week in Spain. It’s nice to be able to go there in Belgium when the weather is bad, although we don’t go there enough. Walking on the beach, doing sports or making it cozy at home: it is pure relaxation. A must is Bambouzza, a restaurant and lounge bar run by two Belgians. They also have a roof terrace. It is ideal to visit with friends. I am a fan of their tapas.”

2. Perfect for a mother-daughter outing

“My daughter Chinouk lives in Brussels and already knows many wonderful addresses. During the week I like to visit her. Our regular appointment is in the cozy Egmontpark, a piece of nature right in the center where we go for a walk with the dog. Also ideal for a drink when the weather is nice. Now she is in the block and studying, but I am planning a visit soon.”

3. Pure Hasselt

“If my daughter has time, she likes to come to Hasselt again. We then go to our favorite lunch address: the Italian the pious† It is a super cozy place in all its simplicity. Everything is very fresh: piadas, pizzas or salads that are prepared à la minute. The owners are very sympathetic. I love their pure cuisine.”

“A wonderful place in Limburg: The vicarage† Their terrace is behind the church and you almost imagine yourself in Tuscany in Limburg. My girlfriend and I were cycling and then such a refreshment on their beautiful terrace is more than welcome. The view is phenomenal. The owner of this B&B knew me from back in the day through performances. It is wonderful to be catapulted back in time.”

“We are currently renovating and redecorating our house. What is central to me is a fireplace to make it cosy. In the summer I also like a warm fire outside, ideal for parties! We found our thing at Dalemans.”

“We cross the street and are at Mombeekdreef, which is part of the Mombeekvallei, a large nature reserve where many people come for a walk and find peace and quiet. There are so many bird species and I love all those sounds. I notice in many people that they return completely zen. It works for me too.”

“In Spain we go padel a lot. But Marc and I also have our address in Belgium. We are affiliated with Wimbledon Tenniscenter and try to go on a regular basis. There must be four of you, so it’s nice to catch up with friends. We also play badminton twice a week. I’m quite sporty, ever since I was young. Now I also like walking and especially cycling. You can get anywhere quickly with the electric bicycle.”

“When we return from Spain by car, we pass the town of Aywaille. I would like to visit the caves of Remouchamps again. Or the zoo Wild World† You just drive through it by car, while the animals run free. A whole experience. A few years ago we did that with the fans and we had a big BBQ. I have good memories of it.”
