This is the result of Dutch research that was once feared to change the history of Indonesia

Government research Dutch It was feared that the 1945-1950 war in Indonesia had the potential to change Indonesia’s history. Results research which began in 2017 has been announced to the public.

The title of the research was ‘Decolonization, Violence and War in Indonesia, 1945-1950’. This research uses the Dutch Government funds of 4.1 million Euros. The research involved 25 Dutch academics, 11 researchers from Gadjah Mada University (UGM), and 6 international experts.

There are three Dutch institutions conducting this research, namely the Royal Netherlands Institute of Language, State and Anthropology (KITLV); Dutch Institute for War, Holocaust and Genocide Research (NIOD); and the Dutch Research Institute for Military History (NIMH). They claim to be working with Indonesian researchers, but not with the Indonesian government.
