And then something we haven’t seen before. In China streamers seem to gather in specific wealthier areas in order to collect more donations from their viewers. How that works?

The algorithm of certain sites where the streams are active only show “local” streamers. So if you don’t live in an affluent area, you take a ring light, tripod and your stream phone with you and just go to work under a bridge. After all, sitting a bit dry during your streaming is so nice and finding out how deep the pockets of your financially privileged viewers really are.
