Nikola Jokic added the second MVP of his NBA career in consecutive seasons, which places him on a par with the most dominant centers in history. The Denver Nuggets center received 875 points from 65 journalists for the first position, 27 in the second and 6 in the third.
This was the most international vote in the history of the award, as three players not born in the United States were placed in the top five: Joel Embiid (Cameroon), Giannis Antetokounmpo (Greece) and Luka Doncic (Slovenia).
After the votes received by Jokic, Joel Embiid was placed with 706 points, with 26 elections as first, and Giannis Antetokounmpo, with 595 and 9 in the position of honor.

Devin Booke,r of the Phoenix Suns, had 216 points while Luka Doncic, of the Dallas Mavericks, had 146 points, thus completing the list of the five players who received the most votes in the current season’s awards.
Antetokounmpo also achieved two distinctions in a row, with the titles of 2018-2019 and in 2019-2020. They are the only international players with more than one MVP award achieved in the best basketball league in the world.
