For the third time in the last four days, Greece is recording a record number of new coronavirus infections in one day. In the past 24 hours, 6,808 cases have been registered in the country, the highest daily number since the beginning of the pandemic. The data are from the official daily statistics disseminated by ANA-MPA.

–In the last 24 hours, 42 people died in Greece with COVID-19. There were 441 patients intubated in hospital.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 767,376 cases of coronavirus have been registered in Greece, and 16,151 people have died from the disease.
Nearly 6.4 million people in Greece’s nearly 11 million people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This week, the Greek government announced even tougher measures to curb the spread of the infection, with people who have not been vaccinated or have not recently tested negative for coronavirus having virtually no access to grocery stores and pharmacies.
