Since Tuesday, August 25, the department has a new epidemic focus: theisaccommodation establishment for dependent elderly people (Ehpad) in Lamontjoie.
As early as last week, a first case was detected, which resulted, as the procedure requires, systematic screening. In total, five people, both staff and residents, were affected.
“These establishments are particularly followed and supported”, specifies the ARS. In particular by the operational hygiene team of the Agen Nérac Hospital, which has an advisory role.
As a reminder, a first infectious outbreak was detected atEnap d’Agen on August 5 and to Aiguillon a few days ago. On the other hand, the thirty cases declared in Tonneins is not part of a cluster.
