Smoke visible for miles around. A fire broke out on Tuesday February 2, around 1 p.m., in a house located at 13, rue d’Escherange, in Œutrange. Impressive flames issued from one of the roof windows on the second floor of the Lorraine dwelling.

The Thionville firefighters quickly arrived on site. Reinforcements from Yutz and Hayange joined them. In all, about thirty men and eleven vehicles were dispatched to the scene. Four fire hoses were deployed to contain the fire which also threatened the other terraced house.
