Plan what is necessary in case the evacuation of certain areas is decreed, light hand luggage, mobile phone with charger, personal medications and important documentation. It is one of the recommendations of the Government of the Canary Islands in areas of imminent risk due to the possibility of a volcanic eruption on La Palma.

In application of the Special Plan for Civil Protection and Attention to Emergencies due to Volcanic Risk (Pevolca), the General Directorate of Security and Emergencies recommends that the population alert and be informed by official channels and the media of data updates and also , that communicates any type of information related to noise, gases, small tremors or changes in the water level in the wells. Although the Government also makes it clear that this Pevolca alert situation does not imply a risk for the population.
