An entire region requested that Nye Veier be given responsibility for the E16. Now a fierce battle is being fought against the way New Roads will build the road.

The government’s road company Nye Veier will leave the road as it is today and rather build a new motorway between Kløfta and Kongsvinger further south. They are called “resistance groups” and “guerrilla groups”. In Kongsvinger, Nes, Sør-Odal and Ullensaker, locals are fighting to get a new motorway as a neighbor. It will run between Kløfta and Kongsvinger.
In small Nes municipality alone, five Facebook groups have been established.
