They denounce that 120 people have covid-19 at the Pérez Carreño Hospital

Covid-19 cases are increasing at the Pérez Carreño Hospital, denounced the group of health professionals Pandemia Venezuela.

In a post on Twitter, they reported that there are 120 people infected in the health center.

They detailed that there are 13 adult patients and 2 pediatric patients who are in isolation and in delicate conditions.

They also indicated that there are already six workers who had to put themselves in isolation for testing positive for the virus.

“Due to the obvious collapse in this healthcare center, the 5th floor will be enabled to hospitalize patients positive for the virus. Having the 11th floor for the same purpose is not ruled out due to the continuous entry of infected patients, ”they wrote.

In the publication they also denounced the collapse of basic services and the deplorable conditions in which work must be done at the Pérez Carreño Hospital.

“Failures persist in the water service, there are no biosafety equipment, chlorine and gel were not seen anymore. Disposable masks, gloves and gowns are practically a luxury because there aren’t any, ”they said.
