Another 807 cases of coronavirus covid-19 were detected in the country in the last 24 hours. Of these, 794 are by community transmission and 13 are “imported”.
On the 164th day of the pandemic in Venezuela, 41,965 cases of covid-19 were counted, reported –via twitter– at 11:00 pm on Wednesday, August 26, the executive vice president, Delcy Rodríguez.
The entity with the most infections, again, is the Capital District (290); Zulia added 15 cases. He added that all imported (13) were detected in Venezuelans who returned from Colombia.
The number of fatalities reached 351. This Wednesday they confirmed 8 deaths: one is a 72-year-old woman and 2 men aged 62 and 60 from Táchira; two men of 52 and 53 years of the Capital District; a 64-year-old man from Miranda; a 60-year-old from Zulia and another from Anzoátegui.
Regarding the cases of community transmission, he detailed that they were concentrated in:
Capital district: 290 new cases in the 22 capital city parishes, concentrating the highest number of cases in Sucre (Catia) with 42, El Valle with 35 and El Paraíso with 19.
Miranda: 194 new cases.
Táchira: 105 new cases.
Hurry: 44 new cases.
Trujillo: 22 new cases.
Aragua: 20 new cases.
New Sparta: 18 new cases.
Sugar: 17 new cases.
Lara: 16 new cases.
Zulia: 15 new cases
La Guaira: 13 new cases.
Carabobo: 13 new cases.
Portuguese: 10 new cases.
Bolivar: 9 new cases.
Yaracuy: 7 new cases.
Merida: 1 new case.
Rodríguez pointed out, in tweets, that there are 8,683 active cases in the country, of which 3,430 are in hospitals, 4,872 in Comprehensive Diagnostic Centers (CDI) and 189 in private clinics.
