The Ministry of Health reported that in coordination with the Ministry of National Defense they have agreed that the mass vaccination posts that operate in Mariscal Zavala, in pedestrian and vehicular modes, as well as in the Guard of Honor, in pedestrian mode, with the extension vehicles in Campo Marte, they will extend their opening hours until midnight, from Monday to Sunday.
These extended hours will begin this Thursday, August 5, 2021, serving people over 35 years old and people 18 years old or over, who have a chronic disease and university students.

It states: “Everyone can be vaccinated with or without a previous appointment, they only need to be registered and carry their Personal Identification Document.”
He added that the vaccination posts subject to this provision have the capacity to serve more than 14,000 people per day, in a combined manner.
Communication from the Ministry of Health confirmed that the night schedule will begin this Thursday, August 5, 2021.
For this weekend, Health is planning to set up eight vaccination posts, of these, only the Gerona Sports Center will be applying second doses of AstraZeneca and Sputnik V.
The Central Guatemala Health Directorate reported that second doses of Sputnik V and AstraZeneca are being administered in the following places:
- Rafael Landívar University
- Polideportivo Erick Barrondo
- In the center Alida Spain
- Gerona Sports Center
The long lines that have been registered at the Landívar University for three days mean that this was the only vaccination post that began with the application of these second doses of the Russian vaccine.
Currently, Guatemala has only 60 thousand doses of second application of the Sputnik V vaccine, since of the 960 thousand that have been received by the Russian Fund, 900 thousand correspond to first doses.
Weekend
These vaccination posts will be enabled on weekends in August, according to Health.
