A new post goes online almost every day on the Halterner Zeitung’s Instagram page. Which ones did you like the most in 2021? We have put together the top 10.
On January 5, 2021, the first mail of the new year went to the Halterner Zeitung’s Instagram account (@halternerzeitung) online. In the Kahrstege senior center, the first owners were vaccinated against the coronavirus.
The post received 252 likes. The vaccination campaign barely missed the top 10 most popular Instagram posts from 2021 on our Instagram page.
Place 10: Rainbow flag for the EM game – 253 likes
On June 23, the day of the European Championship match between Germany and Hungary, the editorial team of the Halterner Zeitung waved its flag. This was preceded by a decision by Uefa. They rejected the request to light the Munich stadium in rainbow colors on the said match day.
Place 9: Photo call on winter morning – 264 likes
A very cold but also particularly beautiful winter morning surprised the people of Haltern shortly before Christmas. We have called on all readers to send us the most beautiful winter photos.
8th place: “Bar replacement traffic” – 265 likes
In the Corona lockdown in February Christian Zehren said: “If people can’t go to the pub, then we just have to bring the pub to them.”
7th place: wind turbine collapsed – 277 likes
A wind turbine almost completely collapsed in the Hohe Mark in Halter at the end of September. This not only caused an uproar in Haltern. The news quickly spread in the national media.
6th place: New graffiti in Haltern – 283 likes
An artist duo from Krefeld sprayed new graffiti on the Hullerner Strasse underpass in October. The “See Beats Waves” underpass has become a real work of art.
5th place: Corona peak value in Haltern – 289 likes
On January 22, the district reported a 7-day incidence of 15.9 for Haltern. That was a particularly low peak nationwide.
4th place: Winter idyll in Haltern – 292 likes

3rd place: Next generation takes over Hof Koch – 295 likes
Hermann Koch gave up his farm in Haltern. Now son Mathias takes over. The 30-year-old is happy about the new responsibility.
2nd place: “A spark of hope” – 376 likes
On December 11th it was that time again. The tractor parade under the motto “A Spark of Hope” rolled through the streets of Haltern for the second time.
1st place: New beach bar in Haltern was opened – 441 likes
