These districts are still corona-free

The big overview: No new case has been reported here for 14 days.

The numbers are rising again: from Saturday to Sunday there were 74 new infections, most of them in Vienna: 39. in Upper Austria there were 18, in Lower Austria ten, only in Carinthia and Styria there were no new cases.

There are currently 551 people infected with corona, ten days ago there were 384: “We must not become careless now,” said Health Minister Rudolf Anschober in an AUSTRIA interview: “The corona virus is still in the middle of us.”

Experts: “Significant increase likely”

Tired. Hans-Peter Hutter, environmental physician at Meduni-Vienna, also warns in an AUSTRIAN conversation: “The population is suffering from crisis fatigue,” he says. He is therefore convinced: “A significant increase is very likely”. We also have to reckon with the fact that certain areas have to be shut down again if the number of new infections rises sharply.

Hutter anticipates a significant increase in the number of diseases in autumn: “Lower temperatures favor the activity of the virus.”

So far there have been 17,654 positive residual results in Austria. As of Sunday, 702 people across Austria died of the consequences of the corona virus. 71 people are currently in hospital because of the coronavirus, nine of them in intensive care units.
