In the spring of 2022, a report followed: German companies publicly announced that they would withdraw from business with Russia due to the war in Ukraine. Including SAP, which has announced a full retirement later this year. This sale is now suspended.
CFO Luka Mucic cited the legal requirements that exist for customers and employees as the reason. The company does not currently have its sights set on a new time when operations in Russia are expected to be completely terminated. “Transferring the (business) to a third party is difficult and currently not feasible,” said CFO Mucic.
