Gadgetren – There are two unique features of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 that are not commonly found in other mobile phones, namely the foldable shape and the mini Cover Screen on the back of the mobile. These two unique features make the Galaxy Z Flip 4 capable of providing some interesting features that can be used.
These cool features include Quick Shot for selfies using the rear camera easily, Flex Mode for taking pictures such as using a stand, view funny photos or images on the cover screen, to easily adjust the settings of the mobile without having to open it.
Always On Display by Cover Screen
Most likely you are already familiar with the Always on Display feature where the mobile phone screen will be able to display information such as time and weather even when the screen is not active. Now this function can also be used on the cover screen.
By default, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 cover screen you use is only active if you tap the screen or when a notification arrives. To activate this feature, you need to open the phone settings and then enter the menu Screen lock > Always on display.
There you simply choose to have the Always On Display feature always on. You can also choose other options such as being active at a certain time or even deactivating it. What is certain is that if this function is activated, it will have a slight effect on the battery charge of the mobile phone.
Selfie with quick shot
If you want to take a selfie using the Galaxy Z Flip 4’s main camera, you can do it quickly and easily without opening the phone. Just press the power button twice and then press the volume button or make a hand gesture to take a photo.
The preview selfie photos will be displayed on the Cover Screen so you can see the results instantly. By default, a preview of the photo will appear on the cover screen and there will be a cropped area, although the result will still be a normal size. If you want the photo preview to appear in its original size, you can double-tap the Cover Screen.
You can also switch the camera used between the main camera or the ultra wide angle camera by sliding the Cover Screen up or down. Also, you can swipe right to activate Portrait mode or swipe left for video recording mode.
Shot in Flex mode
By taking advantage of the flexibility of the Galaxy Z Flip 4, you can take photos like using a mobile holder. Simply press the power button twice, then the mobile is partially folded and then placed on a flat area such as a table.
Now you can instantly take the photos as you wish and simply make a hand movement so that the mobile can take the photos automatically. You can also activate this feature via the Galaxy Z Flip 4’s default camera app by pressing the Cover Screen Preview button and then positioning the phone.
Get creative on the cover screen
As we know, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 cover screen can display information such as the time and the condition of the mobile phone’s battery at any time. Now interestingly, you can change the design of this cover screen as you wish.
To change the design, you just need to go to the settings of the mobile and then go to the menu Cover screen > Clock style. Here you can set the clock face type on the cover screen, view your emojis, animated images, or even show a short video.
Setting up your mobile directly from the cover screen
You can access your phone’s quick settings by swiping down on the cover screen. Some of the settings you can change include enabling wifi, bluetooth, airplane mode, and flashlight. Furthermore, you can also change the sound mode and brightness level of the Cover Screen.
If you swipe right on the Cover Screen, notifications will appear on your phone. And if you swipe left, you can access the widgets installed on the Cover Screen.
You can change the order of the widgets displayed on the cover screen and also hide or show the widgets you want. Some of the widgets available on the Galaxy Z Flip 4 include a music player, weather information, today’s schedule, alarms, timers, calendars, to route calls to contacts that have been set up.
Flexible mode panel
This feature is still an experiment and you have to activate it manually by going into your mobile’s settings and selecting Advanced features > laboratories > Flexible mode panel. Next it will show which applications you want to view in the Flex Mode panel.
One application that I think is suitable for the Flex Mode Panel function is a music player such as YouTube Music. When I open this application and the top of the phone is folded, a special area will appear at the bottom of the screen to control the music and the buttons to open the notification area, take screenshots, adjust the screen brightness, adjust the volume and display the touch pad.
Watch YouTube in a unique way
When you open the YouTube app, you can fold the screen at the top of the phone so that it is slightly vertical. This way you can watch YouTube videos at the top of the screen while browsing video information such as comments and descriptions at the bottom of the screen.
Instagram video recording with more fun
When you want to register with the camera app or Instagram, you can also fold the top of the phone. The app layout will automatically change where the video preview is shown at the top of the screen and the video controls are at the bottom of the screen.
Now, these eight unique features of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 are sure to make it more fun for you to be creative when using this mobile. Moreover, you will also look different from those who still use conventional cellphones.
