The DFL has decided not to allow the Bundesliga game to take place. Bayern boss Rummenigge advocated ghost games to the end – and argued with the TV money.
Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has given his opinion against an immediate stop of the Bundesliga because of the corona virus with financial aspects and the TV contract. The television partner has received a high payment, the chief executive of FC Bayern Munich reported on Friday.
Rummenigge: “It’s all about finances at the end of the day”
“If this payment were not made, it would be expected that at least many small and medium-sized clubs would face financial problems,” he said. Rummenigge would have considered it the “right decision” if the match day had taken place in largely empty stadiums without spectators.
Rummenigge justified #DFL-Decision, despite the matchday #Corona to carry out:
“At the end of the day, of course, it’s about finance. A high payment from the TV Brodcasters is still outstanding. If that didn’t happen, many small clubs would get into trouble. ” @DLF_Sport pic.twitter.com/1tJIrDl8Uw

Rummenigge did not give details of the clauses of the TV contract, but said: “A large three-digit million amount is on fire.”
