“There was both laughter and a few tears…” The Krause brothers have finally met at their father’s house

As is known, Arnis is the owner of Liezere, and Valters visited him in March of this year after the joint stage project “Krauze vs. Krauzi”, which took place in Madona.

“That night we talked about a lot, we learned a lot from each other’s stories. And in my 53 years, I have a little calmer feelings. Of course, we didn’t choose our childhood, and I don’t blame Arn that he had a better childhood, or vice versa. That’s all stayed there many, many years ago, but we had a great conversation,” Valters tells “Kas Jauns” magazine.

Arnis reveals that he has taken Walter on the paths of their ancestors, showing them the places where their grandparents lived. “We talked about the past, talked about our entire childhood, which we didn’t know about each other until now.

The conversation dragged on until the morning, in the middle there was both laughter and some tears.

And it’s good that we said it; if we had specially planned – let’s meet by the fire, let’s tear open the wounds – it would hardly have come together so naturally,” Arnis thinks.

Valters adds: “I was surprised that when Arnis took me to my grandfather’s house, some flashbacks appeared in my memory. I remembered the bus stop, the farm in the distance…” Arnis confirms: “Walters even remembered the layout of his father’s house – where there was a closet, where’s the bed! Amazing, but the last time he was there was 50 years ago!”

Walter emphasizes that the two do not have to prove to each other that they are brothers, they do not have to suddenly recover all these almost 50 years when they were separated, but their meeting is free and flowing.
