There was a role for the caterer behind the arrest of Lukas Enembe

The KPK finally arrested the Governor of Papua Luke Enembe who was named a suspect in a corruption case earlier this week. The Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD revealed one of the apparatus’ strategies to ensure the smooth process of arresting Lukas Enembe, one of which was by checking with the caterers that Lukas subscribed to.

“In the past they were scared, if they were arrested they said all the Papuan people would come down,” said Mahfud MD at the Grahadi State Building in Surabaya, East Java, quoted from detikJatim, Sunday (15/1/2023).

Mahfud then explained that the apparatus had observed the number of supporters Luke Enembe who refused arrest. The mass was around Lukas Enembe’s residence.

“Yes, on the first day there were around 2,000, 3,000 people (who came out to support Lukas Enembe). 4 days later, there were only a thousand, then until it finally dropped to 60 people,” explained Mahfud.

So how did the authorities know the number of supporters? Luke Enembe those around his residence decreased? “How come Mr. Mahfud knows? That (Lukas Enembe-red) was a catering message, the one who ate it has a note. We know the caterer, what day he ordered, only when he was small (his order) took it (KPK officers arrested Lukas Enembe),” explained Mahfud .

Previously, the KPK officially announced Lukas Enembe as a suspect in the alleged corruption case of giving and receiving gifts or promises of infrastructure development in Papua. The KPK has also named PT Tabi Bangun Papua (TBP) Director Rijatono Lakka as a suspect.
