Jombang, Bhirawa.

The government of Kepatihan Village, Jombang District, Jombang Regency carried out fogging or spraying insecticides to kill mosquitoes in the local village environment, Thursday (06/01). This was done because at this time in the village there was an attack of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF).

Head of Kepatihan Village, Jombang District, Jombang Regency, Erwin Pribadi said that currently there are 4 residents affected by DHF.

“Two of them were hospitalized, and two others were outpatients, positive but the lab results still allowed for outpatient treatment, in the end they were treated at home,” said Erwin Pribadi.

Even so, he continued, the number of dengue cases in his village is currently decreasing when compared to 2020. In 2020, there were 13 Kepatihan Village residents who were infected with DHF with the majority of students being affected.

“Thank God it went down a bit. Since the beginning of 2021, I have launched a waste bank program, so periodically once a month, because the waste bank weighs once a month, residents without us asking, without us asking, once a month have cleaned their respective environments, “said Erwin Pribadi.

“So God willing, this is also the impact of residents who clean their environment regularly,” he explained.

In addition to fogging, his party has also given an appeal to the RT to do 3M (drain, close, bury).

“And tomorrow, God willing, we will only spray, next Sunday we will also spray sporadically. So do not go into the house, but on the streets. My goal is that today’s mosquitoes are in the form of eggs, which tomorrow or the day after tomorrow will become mosquitoes, we can also kill them,” he concluded. (rif)
