There is no sane power plant left in Ukraine – World

TO as a result of massive attacks by Russian troops on energy infrastructure in Ukraine, there are practically no intact thermal and hydroelectric power plants, the head of the Ukrainian energy grid company “Ukrenergo” Volodymyr Kudrytsky announced today, quoted by BTA.

“After the attack on our energy system on November 15, there were practically no thermal and hydroelectric plants left intact in Ukraine. To give you an idea of the extent of these attacks, virtually all thermal and hydroelectric plants, if we want to talk about large plants, have been damaged by missile attacks, Kudritsky said in a briefing.

Snow has fallen in Kiev, Russia’s plan fails

“Furthermore, not a single substation of the Ukrenergo node remained intact,” Kudrytsky added and added that virtually all important substations were hit multiple times.

“The extent of the damage is colossal,” he stressed.

However, according to Kudritsky, thanks to the repair work since Saturday, the system has been stabilized, notes DPA. Now blackouts are mostly planned and there are almost no emergency outages.

Russia invaded Ukraine nearly nine months ago. After significant failures on the front, the Russian military has begun conducting targeted attacks against the country’s energy grid, DPA recalls.
