An indictment was filed with the Warsaw-Praga District Court for insulting the President of the Republic of Poland and for insulting and using violence against persons collecting signatures for Andrzej Duda, the Warsaw-Praga District Prosecutor’s Office informed.
The indictment was directed to the Warsaw-Praga District Court against Remigiusz B. by the Warsaw Praga-Południe District Prosecutor’s Office.
Serious allegations
The man accused of publicly insulting the President of the Republic of Poland by speaking to him words commonly considered offensive, as well as the use of violence and insulting two men who were collecting signatures for the candidacy of Andrzej Duda for the office of the President of the Republic of Poland
– announced the prosecutor’s office.
She added that the incident occurred on February 29, 2020 at Męcińska Street in Warsaw.
Remigiusz B. refused to explain
The actions taken in the course of the investigation made it possible to establish that the perpetrator’s behavior was of a hooligan nature and was undertaken in public and without reason. The accused during the investigation did not plead guilty to the charges and exercised his right to refuse to explain

Remigiusz B. has not been previously punished. He faces up to 5 years in prison.
