To prevent them from the threat of the disease, he said, the community must maintain a clean environment so that there is no possibility of stagnant water that could emerge Aedes aegpty mosquito larvae, the cause of dengue fever.
“Of course we have to maintain cleanliness around, such as cleaning the place that is a mosquito nest, cleaning the bath so that mosquito larvae do not appear, then the rubbish around is cleaned by burying it,” he said.
DHF cases in City of Serang from January to October 2020 about 251 people were infected, while the death rate from the disease was four. “This year there is an increase in cases of dengue fever, although not too much compared to previous years,” he said.
In the midst of the current Covid-19 pandemic, the Serang City Health Office is also trying to suppress disease DBD. “With the one house one jumantik movement program, we will empower the family. In the past, only cadres and officers were involved,” said Affan.
