Xiaomi, however, has a slightly different approach to the specification of such a smartphone than even Samsung (Galaxy S22 is to have a screen diagonal of 6.06 inches. The same applies to ASUS Zenfone 8 or iPhone 13 Mini. Each of them offers a top processor, which with such a compact housing leads to problems with heat dissipation. Xiaomi is aware of this, and according to leaks, the 12 Mini would drive the Snapdragon 870, which heats up much less.
When would such a phone hit the market? If it really exists as something more than just a prototype, then I bet it will debut with the Pro and Ultra versions. This should happen at the end of February 2022. Let me remind you that the basic Xiaomi 12 is to debut in December this year. I wouldn’t be surprised if this phone appeared on the market under the name Xiaomi 12 Lite.
