You played the first period very well in Třinec and you won it. But in the second period it broke, why?
They tried to play in the same way as the first third, but unfortunately we didn’t build on it, didn’t keep the lead and we won’t take a point. It’s hard, but we will try to build on the performance and beat Pardubice on Tuesday.
You lost by a goal. Is it a painful defeat?
That’s it. They play well, they’ve been together for some years, they know about each other and they did much better in that ending than we did. That probably decided.

In the third period you had a balance on the stick, what was missing to hit the ring better?
I guess I was a little hasty. I should have handled it better. Unfortunately, we threw it a little apart. We could have a point for an extension, or even more. We could have settled, but I threw it away.
How did you personally take the exchange from Mladá Boleslav to Zlín. Instead of medals you’ll probably play for retention, it’s probably not easy, see?
I never planned the change, but I take it as it is. It’s a challenge and I want to make a name for myself in another team. I am a player of Zlín and I will try to give the best possible performances. Even though it was my worst match today. I really played pencil.

Probably yes. So far, I’ve only played in Boleslav, so it will probably take me a while to acclimatize to another team. But that doesn’t change anything. Hockey is played almost the same everywhere, so I can say that I failed. I’m mad at myself.
Did the exchange happen quickly?
I knew from the beginning of the season that something was wrong. The first match was expected to be what a team it will be. We weren’t excited about it, but that’s the way it is and I have to play well to make a name for myself in Zlín.

In what mood did you find the Zlín cabin? Did you and Boleslav bring a better mood to her?
I don’t know at all … Well, I think the boys are in a good mood, healthy and upset and want to show that they have it and don’t belong at the bottom of the table. It’s harder here, because Boleslav was in trouble. Here you can see that the pucks are bouncing a little. But I think when we play some good matches, it can turn around.
Zlín is currently officially without a head coach, how do you perceive it?
I don’t know how it will go on. We now have other coaches (Luboš Jenáček and Martin Hamrlík) and I hope it will get better and better.
