Inspired by the tradition started last summer, this year the world music festival “Porta” will be performed in the open air – on the shores of Lake Jugla, in a cozy atmosphere, complementing what is happening on stage.
The offer of the summer event announced by “Porta” sounds interesting. On August 20, the Finnish association “Wimme & Rinne” will take the stage of the festival at the Latvian Ethnographic Open-Air Museum, which will dress its music in unusual sounds, combining the Sami style of joking with electronic and experimental jazz. In turn, six men from the French-Italian group “Lalala Napoli” will allow you to feel the rhythms of both tarantella and spiritual music stories, with uncontrollable energy and musical generosity pulling the audience into a celebration full of friendship and celebration of life. In addition, Yemen Blues musicians from Israel promise to introduce listeners to the cultural music of the new era, which combines Yemeni, West African, blues, funk and jazz rhythms, but the vocals are reminiscent of ancient Arabic songs.
