According to The Daily Star (06/20, p43), Wolverhampton Wanderers are preparing a £ 35 million move for Sevilla striker and West Ham United target Youssef En-Nesyri.

The wolves hope that Raúl Jiménez will get back in shape and fire next season, but with Willian José’s loan finished, a new striker is needed.

The Molineux club may need to sell before they can buy, but En-Nesyri is believed to be a prime target to reinforce the Wolves’ attack.

How did En-Nesyri do last season?

En-Nesyri joined Sevilla from Leganés in January 2020, and after just six goals in 26 games in his first half of the season with the club, he has really exploded now.

The Moroccan striker scored 24 goals in 52 games in all competitions last season, although he did not register a single assist.

At 24, En-Nesyri should still have his best days ahead of him, and Sevilla don’t have much pressure to sell as things are.

West Ham still wants En-Nesyri too

The Premier League team most strongly linked to En-Nesyri in 2021 has been West Ham United, which made a move in January for him.

This new report claims that West Ham are still interested and could rival the Wolves for his signing if there is any indication that Sevilla will sell.

West Ham have Europa League football, which could give them the edge, but the Wolves seem keen to give Bruno Lage a big signing in En-Nesyri.
