Last week, three large productions debuted on the market, which had a very good start. Marvel’s Avengers took the leading position on the British market, although Activision, thanks to Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, can talk about the best return.

Late last week CD Projekt RED announced The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and most likely this news made it Geralt’s third adventure saw a 237% increase in sales in the UK. The game finally took 11th place in the sales ranking, almost hitting the top ten in the GfK ranking.
There were three new products at the top of the ranking, but only two companies can talk about great successes. Marvel’s Avengers (read our review) hit the first place, but analyzing the boxes sold, the game recorded an almost identical result as Shadow of the Tomb Raider from 2018, the last Crystal Dynamics game. Comparing the title to Spider-Man from Insomniac Games – The Avengers obtained three times worse result than the hit Sony. However, it should be emphasized that the latest superhero production debuts at a difficult moment (the twilight of the generation) and will be developed over the years, so the next months will prove to be a test for the publisher, who will be able to decide on success after a long time.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 made a unique comeback, achieving 448% better sales in the first week than its 2015 predecessor. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 turned out to be a failure, but as you can see, there are still plenty of board fans who will be happy to show off their new tricks – the game only has to present the appropriate level. The start of NBA 2K21 could be a disappointment. The title did not have the best start in the history of the series, and compared to NBA 2K20 it recorded a 37% worse result within a few days of its premiere.
