The Witcher series has not only established itself, but has also ensured that CD Projekt RED is one of the most successful European developers and publishers. As the studio has now announced, another milestone has been reached. In the meantime, a total of 50 million Witcher players have been sold.

The first part of the series struggled with some bugs and problems at the time, but was able to captivate players with its unconventional and adult narrative style. The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings was then able to make strong progress in 2011 and fully establish Geralt as a hero. By continuously improving the game along with numerous free updates, the studio has also made a name for itself in the community. By 2013, the first two Witcher players had sold five million copies.

With The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, CD Projekt RED was finally able to work its way into the role-playing Olympus in 2015. Even five years after its release, the game is still very popular. In addition, there were two spin-offs with Gwent: The Witcher Card Game and Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales. In addition, a Netflix series was launched at the end of 2019, which was also extremely successful.

CD Projekt RED is currently working on the next blockbuster Cyberpunk 2077, for which even Keanu Reeves could be won.
