The owners of the version Switch of the flagship game of CD Projekt Red have been surprised recently to receive a game update in including the implementation of cross-save between versions Switch and PC, in addition to various tweaks and a noticeable improvement in graphics. Unfortunately for the owners of the versions Xbox One and PS4, it seems that this functionality remains confined to these two platforms.
Contacted by journalists fromUSGamer, CD Projekt Red said through one of its spokespersons that it is not currently scheduled for deployment to the consoles of Sony and Microsoft :
“This option is something we designed specifically for the Switch version, in collaboration with Saber Interactive – the team that worked closely with us on the Switch port. There are no plans for similar functionality in other versions of The Witcher 3. ”
However, even if the Polish publisher confirms that the functionality is not planned in the short term on these consoles, there is no indication that the cross-save will never happen on Xbox One and PS4.
