The young singer Anastasia Kola Prudius from Ukraine has won the final of the international vocal competition “Laima Voice” in the private residence of the legendary Latvian singer Laima Vaikule. She got a chance to perform on the stage of the international festival “Laima Rendezvous Jūrmala” next year.
Out of two thousand applications submitted, the jury selected 130, and after three rounds of selection, three participants from the children’s category and nine adult vocalists from three countries made it to the finals. The adult contestants once again performed their favorite song in front of the jury and Laima Vaikule herself. The winner was the talented singer from Kiev Anastasia Kola Prudius, who has already gained recognition by participating in the national selection of the Eurovision Song Contest in Ukraine, as well as in the TV shows “Golos strani” in the sixth season and “Tanci so zvezdama” (Ukraine). Each of the participants received valuable advice and guidance from experts and Laima Vaikule, as well as awards from the competition partners “Greencosmetics” – a company representing outstanding brands of natural cosmetics. It should be reminded that the festival “Laima Rendezvous Jūrmala” created by Laima Vaikule has been moved to the next year and will take place at the end of July.
