The West Was Destroyed Without Shot

MOSCOW – Russia announced that his troops were withdrawn after the completion of the exercises near the border with Ukraine . Moscow also says that predictions that might have just been a while ago of a full-scale invasion have been proven wrong.

In a fiery statement Tuesday, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova ridiculed weeks of reports and claims from US and European officials that Moscow’s armed forces were only hours away from launching an attack on its neighbour.

“February 15, 2022 will go down in history as the day Western war propaganda failed,” he wrote.

According to him, the West had been “humiliated and crushed without firing a single shot,” as reported by Russia Today.

At the same time, the Moscow Defense Ministry announced that a number of Russian troops had completed their exercises in Belarus, near the Ukrainian border, and would begin the withdrawal process.

Zakharova’s comments came after US business media Bloomberg reported on Saturday, citing unnamed officials, that an attack on Ukraine could occur on Tuesday. The media reported that possible attacks may include provocations in the Donbass region or against Kiev.

White House national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, also told CNN over the weekend that “sources” and “intelligence gathering” gave the impression that “major military action” could “start at any time now.” He said that this includes next week before the end of the Olympic games.
