The weather forecast for the Hungarian Grand Prix

Of Hungarian Grand Prix starts this afternoon at 3:00 PM. The weather forecast at the moment is mixed, as has been the case all weekend.

The thirteenth round of the 2022 season will be completed at the Hungaroring, a circuit that also opened its doors in 1986. The twisty nature of the track and its wide variety of different bends to the left and right make it a challenging circuit for the drivers. Hungary is a popular destination for many drivers – as with many Dutch fans. The track is just under 4.4 kilometers long and the drivers encounter a total of 16 corners. The Grand Prix will be held over 70 laps.

Starting position

George Russell starts the race from pole position. The Mercedesdriver surprised friend and foe during qualifying by finishing at the top of the times list. He is flanked by Carlos Sainzfollowed by Charles Leclerc in Lando Norris. Max Verstappen has to fight his way forward from the tenth spot. He had technical problems on his last run in Q3 and was unable to set a competitive time.

Weather forecast

A look at the current weather forecasts shows that there is a chance of rain, especially in the run-up to the race. For example, at 13:00 this is still 47 percent, after which it decreases to 35 percent until 15:00. During the race, the chance of rainwater is only three percent. It is therefore possible that the circuit is still wet in the opening phase of the race, after which it slowly dries up. In addition, the low temperatures and strong wind gusts will play a role.
