Representatives of České Budějovice tried to prepare for adverse conditions than expected. They turned the heating under the lawn on full blast on Friday morning, but in the end even that didn’t help. Layers of wet snow combined with low temperatures made the match impossible. Both clubs will therefore be looking for an alternative date early next week.
There are still two cup games on the schedule today. At 15:00 kick-off is between Baník Ostrava and Sparta Prague with Bohemians Praha 1905 – Hlučín kick-off one hour later.
The MOL Cup unusually closes the autumn on its home stage. The championship ended before the winter break already last weekend due to the upcoming world championship in Qatar, where the Czech national team did not advance.
