The funeral ceremony takes place at the local Philharmonic. According to various media reports, hundreds of people come to see the Georgian artist on his last journey and lay flowers at his coffin. Everyone is allowed into the building.
The ceremony was attended not only by fans, but also by prominent cultural figures, politicians and other public figures. Stanislav Sadalsky also appeared at the Philharmonic, who flew to Georgia a few days ago to honor the memory and pay tribute to his colleague. Judging by the video recorded by Stanislav Yuryevich, the ceremony of farewell to the beloved people of Buba was held magnificently.
The coffin with the body of Vakhtang Konstantinovich was located on the stage of a large concert hall. As was the case during the memorial service at the Kashveti temple in the center of Tbilisi, it was covered with the flags of Georgia and Ukraine. In the background of Sadalsky’s video, you can see a large screen on which excerpts from films with the participation of Kikabidze were broadcast. At the same time, Buba’s voice was pouring out of the speakers – so the organizers of the farewell wanted not only to remind everyone present about the films with the participation of the actor, but also about his songs. In the video you can hear the immortal composition “Chito-gvrito” by Vakhtang Konstantinovich from “Mimino” directed by Georgy Daneliya. The artist will be buried at the Veriysky cemetery in Tbilisi.
