The Volkshochschule Würzburg and the surrounding area will offer the free science program vhs.wissen live from Tuesday, April 21. Follow top-class lectures by experts from science and society digitally via livestream and then discuss them live. Although the exit and contact restrictions will be loosened piece by piece from April 27, face-to-face events, courses, lectures or even visits to museums remain a dream of the future, according to a press release.
The vhs helps. With vhs.wissen live we offer all interested parties high-quality lectures by experts from society and science via live stream. The participants are there live from home with their computer or tablet or smartphone. After the lectures, they can participate in discussions or question and answer sessions via the live chat.
On Tuesday, April 21, from 4 to 5 p.m., vhs.wissen live Spezial streams from the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich. Dr. Corinna Thierolf, head of the “Art from 1945” collection in the Bavarian State Painting Collections, presents Andy Warhol’s painting “Aids / Jeep / Bicycle”, created in 1985/86. The work is testimony to Warhol’s examination of the AIDS pandemic, which caused existential shocks and losses in society in the mid-1980s and was often described as an “apocalyptic rider”. The following lectures are devoted to the biology of happy love, peace ethics in the 21st century and the question of money in football.
