The veteran Nico Mayer leaves Austria

The midfielder’s contract was not renewed after twelve years with the Violets. SAK loses top kickers to Saalfelden.

The ten Salzburg regional league teams may continue to train only under certain conditions, but the squad planning for the new season is well advanced for most of them. Association circles can be heard that the season 20/21 should start either in mid-August or early September.

Austria Salzburg: Nico Mayer went through many ups and downs with Austria for twelve years, not surprisingly the 30-year-old’s time with the violets is now coming to an end. It is not yet clear where the midfielder will play in the future: Bad Ischl, Siezenheim and Grödig should show interest. In addition to the veteran, Stefan Nöhmer, Resul Omerovic, Hannes Endletzberger (all?), Fabian Tribl (Hallein) and Matthias Öttl (SAK) will also leave the club. On the plus side are Manuel Krainz, Christoph Bann, Thomas Gastager, Marco Oberst (all SAK) and Felix Wilfing.

Saalfelden: The title candidate lured a well-known kicker to the Pinzgau: Daniel Raischl leaves the SAK and will play for the goat team in the future. Austria defender Mario Keil will also follow in the coming days. Michael Piljanovic has left the club in the direction of Kitzbühel.

SAK: In addition to the many departures, the SAK can also present some newcomers. In addition to three 1b kickers, Grödig also includes Manuel Kalman and Stefan Federer. Eugen Rexhepi (Seekirchen) and Fabian Groiss (Eugendorf) return, Matthias Öttl comes from Austria. Youngster Sebastian Hölzl was lured back to Salzburg by Rosenheim. More kickers are to follow.

Seekirchen: The Flachgauer have to tremble by two youngsters. Felix Eliasch is associated with Vorwärts Steyr and Fabian Neumayr is on the wish list of the GAK. Timo Neuhofer (Friedburg) is already gone. There is still a question mark behind Peter Pöllhuber’s whereabouts. “Otherwise, the entire squad will be preserved,” explains sports manager Mario Lapkalo, who still wants to get one or two players.

Anif: All leading players remain coach Raphael Ikache, Martin Hartl comes from Zell am See.

Grünau: The Walsers will have to do without the services of Alexander Scherzer, Florian Soder (both at the end of his career) and Lukas Kessler. A goalie should still come, otherwise you rely on your own talents.

St. Johann: Hüttschlag’s Thomas Kendlbacher is to replace the migrated Dusko Sakan in central defense. No further transfers are planned.

Grödig: Neotrainer Heimo Pfeifenberger is in contact with many players, but cannot yet present a new one. The veteran Lukas Schubert and Robert Völkl should stay. Fix: Miro Bojceski remains the club as an assistant coach.

Kuchl: The Tennengauer can hold all leading players and have strengthened with Robert Strobl and Christoph Hübl.

Bischofshofen: The Pongauer want to keep the majority of the squad and have nothing to do with the lower ranks in the new season. Manager Patrick Reiter has not yet started planning the squad.
